Specialized training in connector design -
Worked
on strategy to test and maintain Vitria's KENAN connector -
Technical
lead on a significant project at QuantumShift, participated in the design and
execution of a routing layer for streamlined provisioning based on Vitria. The
project's main objective was to connect QuantumShift's billing and provisioning
system into heterogenous extra- and intra-company systems using B2B Gateway technologies,
with a lot of data conversion and mediation Telco
billing and mediation (Automation of Local Zone Configuration in Telephony)
-
Invented an original process to automatically define
and reproduce the local calling areas for any market. -
Designed
the prototype as part of a B2B application, using OO and XML technologies.
Customer Care, Billing, Telephony -
Led
a team of four people to define telephony usage in Arbor/BP and developed a series
of software tools that are widely used at AMS. -
These
tools, mostly written in Perl and C, allowed this testing team to consistently
deliver ahead of schedule and streamline regression testing.
Ebusiness -
Designed
and supervised the development of several reporting tools using Java Servlets,
Perl CGI scripts and GUI design. -
Testing:
AO1, BD1 universal GUI-driven call data usage generator to create CDRs in KENAN's
various formats: the generator developed was used at ATG and Firstworld. -
Milefinder: GUI-driven application that, given a pair of
phone numbers, identifies distance, lata, state and rate center. -
Mediation: supervised maintenance and enhancement of a usage
preprocessing tool that converts and preprocesses EMI and Qwest proprietary long
distance CDRs into Arbor/BP compatible CDRs. -
Statistical
Scripts: developed or contributed to dozens of statistical scripts that report
on consumer behavior or analyze bill processing data, all scripts are web enabled.
Trained six people to be able to develop equivalent scripts. SOFRES
Consulting Paris (France) 1997 Business Analyst Counsel
in Strategy: junior consultant on a team that reported the impact of environmental
regulations on the chemical industry to the European Commission. Main contribution
was the development of data gathering and analysis tools that dramatically reduced
the time the team needed to prepare the deliverables.
Procter & Gamble Amiens (France) 1996 Technical Analyst
Supply Management: re-engineered the ordering process of
raw materials at the liquid plant; designed, developed and implemented an inventory
assessment software in Visual Basic leading to the optimization of safety stocks
with an overall stock reduction of 50% to 80%.

Electronic Documentation: created the first electronic documentation
for the LEAR particle accelerator in TEX format, automatically convertible to
HTML. At that time, HTML was at version 0.9.
SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS:
Patent 6,721,761
Denver, Colorado 2000 A System
for Assigning Digital Identifiers to Telephone Numbers and IP Numbers. This patent
solves multiple telco challenges with one algorithm: local (geographical) usage
rating, local number portability, and QoS rating. Another advantage is that it
allows both NPA-NXX and IP based telephony rating. It is available as a plugin
module that can enable any mainstream billing system to solve these problems.
It has been tested for KENAN's Arbor/BP. The patent can be viewed by going to
the following U.S. Patent and Trademark Office web site "http://patft.uspto.gov/netahtml/srchnum.htm"
and entering the patent number or just click on the Patent number above.
